What Happens in a Charleston a Go-Go

Class?

Every ‘Charleston a Go-Go!’ class includes a mix of dance styles from both the 1920’s and the 1960’s, and we’ll cover a wide range of dance steps and ‘crazes’– think everything from the 1920's solo Charleston and the Bee’s Knees, through to the Twist and the Watusi! We usually spend around 50 minutes on 20's styles, and 30 minutes on 60's.

The best way to enjoy ‘Charleston a Go-Go!’ is to attend all the classes in the teaching block (or as many as you can), as content will be taught as part of a progressive course.

By the end of the course not only will you have mastered two complete routines, (one in a 1920’s style, one in a 1960’s style), but you’ll also have a whole new set of moves ready to take you to your next dance party!

Can I Pay as I Go-Go?

Due to demand and to ensure you can get the most out of attending, my classes are offered on a termly basis.

If you are keen to learn new skills, master iconic movements and choreography, get a bit fitter and spend more time enjoying being 'in the moment' it will take a little commitment over a period of weeks - a drop in class just won't give you that. Let's be honest, when life gets busy often its the 'fun' stuff and the stuff we do for us that is the first thing we sacrifice. I really believe that when life gets busy, it's even more important to make time for you to just be you.

That said, I am aware that sometimes we know ahead of time that there are sessions we just can't make, for example due to holidays, and I always endeavour to work around this if I can - get in touch and let's talk!
