Charleston a Go-Go Presents  Silver Screen Charleston!

Shaking the blues away, unhappy news away

If you are blue it's easy to shake off
Your cares and troubles…

Our Easter term is all about feeling fabulous, as we shimmy shake the blues away through the final stages of lockdown. And what could be more perfect to dance to than Irving Berlin's (1927) 'Shakin' the Blues Away'?

Taking inspiration from celluloid starlets and with the goal of ultimate escapism, our Silver-Screen Charleston choreography will be inspired by the sensational dance number from 1948 hit musical Easter Parade.

Think Ann Miller. Charleston. Burlesque. Vintage Showgirl.

Not only that but each Charleston a Go Go class will also keep it's orignal 1960's dance break feature for those times you just need to shake the day off. This term we will be  dusting off an old favourite Wanda Jackson track, and there will also be mood-boosting shakin’ themed playlist to help us dance away our cares each week.

The term will also end with a one-off burlesque themed workshop, so watch this space... Phew-ee!
