In Spring 2019 Charleston a Go-Go celebrates its first birthday, and I can't wait to party like its 1929!

'All I Do I Dream of You' from Singing in the Rain was one of the very first vintage dance routines that sparked my own love affair with the Charleston (and Gene Kelly, to be fair...), and if ever I want to inject a little joy into my life, I know I can always find it in an old Hollywood MGM musical. I cannot wait to share this choreography with you, as I know it will be on some of your bucket lists too!

Each birthday celebration evening will kick off with an an exclusive, fun-packed 90 minute dance workshop, where you will learn authentic choreography from the iconic dance routine (click the image above for a reminder)  The evening will then continue with the chance to party like its 1929, stay and socialise, have a drink and a dance (of course!) The party playlist will include all our favourite Charleston a Go Go tracks from the 20s to the 60s, and will be a fun opportunity to try out some of history's most iconic moves on the dance floor!

The evening is open to ALL, although current and previous class members will get priority booking on places as part of their course package.

The dance workshop is best-suited to those with some basic dance experience, rather than absolute beginners.  The choreography itself is quirky and in a flapper girl style, but I am always happy to offer adaptations and alternatives if being a showgirl ain't your thing (and the Charleston component is good for all!)
